Northumberland, UK – Reproflex3’s industry-leading Vortex print technology has earned coveted recognition at the prestigious Made in the UK Awards.

The company’s approach to innovation within the global flexible packaging industry won the Digital Engineering Technology Award at a sold-out event in Liverpool hosted by Insider on 29 June.

The event brings together regional winners from all nine English regions to recognise and celebrate the best in UK manufacturing.

It is one of the largest manufacturing award schemes in the country, attended by representatives from the UK’s most innovative and successful manufacturers, ranging from SMEs to multi-nationals.

Reproflex3 beat fierce competition to achieve the Digital Engineering Technology award, with its innovations in flexographic print technology and cutting-edge approach to manufacturing, impressing the judges.

Its high-definition Vortex print technology, which is designed to help FMCG brand owners produce world-leading print quality in flexible packaging, mesmerised the judging panel and enabled Reproflex3 to stand out among the other eight finalists to win.

“We’re so proud to have bested such outstanding competition to win the prestigious Made in the UK Digital Engineering Technology Award”, said Andrew Hewitson, Group CEO of Reproflex3. “It’s a huge honour to have our Vortex technology recognised for its merits and for the company to be represented as a leader in innovation both in UK manufacturing and the flexible packaging industry.”

The award has further affirmed Reproflex3’s position as a leading manufacturing company from the northeast of England, showcasing the company’s continual push for innovation and excellence within the sector.

“The team and I are extremely proud to win. It is an incredible achievement for us to receive this recognition and validation from our peers in the UK manufacturing community.

“Putting our technology in the hands of experts around the world has allowed us to model very different print conditions and get feedback swiftly. In turn, our technology development cycle has been fast, which is testament to the desire of the whole organisation to be the best in the market.

“This award reinforces the commitment we have to pushing the boundaries of our technology for the good of the global flexible packaging industry and to better the consumer experience”, said Hewitson. “We look forward to continuing to grow our brand and to competing for more awards in the future.”
